创作者名叫Rich Vreeland，又名Disasterpeace，游戏内的背景音乐由chiptune-esque风格的电子音乐组成，Vreeland的背景音乐是chiptune风格，但他想在保证这种乐谱风格的同时与它保持一定的不同。他使用软件合成融合混响的方式，把其推向接近与80年代的音乐效果，并减少打击乐器的依赖。同时融入了失真技术（distortion techniques）就像bitcrushing和wow。Vreeland选择了缓慢的段落结合多变的节奏，为玩家体验低潮，喷薄的呼吸感制造了可能。他放弃了游戏的某些部分的音乐。Vreeland的夜晚曾经制作的原声是约14个月前的《机器人暴动》（Shoot Many Robots），Aquaria的Brandon McCartin为其游戏的设计音效。
“Continuum”是Frédéric Chopin's（肖邦）的序曲中合成的再现，Op. 28, No. 4。
