Harmonica Hinds has performed in the Chicago land area since the early 1970s. He performed in the house band at Theresa’s Lounge. Other members of the band included Junior Wells, Sammy Lawhorn, John Primer, Earnest Johnson, Nate Applewhite and Muddy Waters Jr.
Hinds made appearances on the albums of Koko Taylor, Lefty Dizz, Moose Walker, John Primer, Eddie Taylor Jr., and Mud Morganfield. He self-produced three CDs: Harmonica Hinds-Finally, Harmonica Hinds-Anything if I could and Harmonica Hinds with guitar-If Speed was just a Thought.
He had a role as a harmonica player in the Black Ensemble’s Theater production of “Muddy Waters, Hoochie Coochie Man”. As a member of the New Generation of Chicago Blues, he performed in the 1977 Berlin Jazz Festival, 1991 Burnley England Blues Festival, 1998 Park Tower Blues Festival in Tokyo, Japan. He also performed at the 14th, 15th, 20th, and 24th,29th and 30th Chicago Blues Festival. Performances also occured in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Poland,Austria, Greece, Brasil, Chile, Canada(Ottawa,Mont-Tremblant, Toronto, Victoria) and Curacao.
Harmonica Hinds has many friends and acquaintances in the blues community. He has shared the stage with Pinetop Perkins, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Louisiana Red, Louis Myers, Dave Myers, Willie Dixon, Magic Slim, Fred Below, Willie Kent and a host of others.
Harmonica Hinds continuously performs solo(with guitar and harmonica on a rack), as a duo(when he'll have another guitarist accompany him) or with his band throughout venues across the Chicago land area. He can be seen on a regular basis at Buddy Guy’s Legends. His performances remain up-beat and soulful. He remains vibrant and enthusiastic as he sings tunes heavily influenced and taught by Little Walter, Louis Myers, James Cotton, and Sonny Terry.

Harmonica Hinds is besides Billy Boy Arnold, Billy Branch and James Cotton – one of the last harp players of the old tradition! He played on many record sessions in the last years – on the Mud Morganfield CD – and plays and sings also on the WOLF CD – From The Country To The City. He has a deep voice and a great harp style and plays 100% Originals! On the CD the best of Chicago Blues are sidemen: Eddie Taylor Jr., Kenny Smith and Edward G. Mc Daniel!
First issued in 2010 (entitled "Anything If I Could"), this album was reissued in 2013 with some changes in the tracklist and a different album cover and is now scheduled for re-release in 2014 with minor changes again in the tracklist and an entirely diferent album cover
